Pick, pack and ship a sales order
Fulfil an order step by step, and learn which steps your settings need.
The steps depend on your Fulfilment Mode in Settings → Sales:

| Full | Pick → Pack → Ship |
| Pick Only | Pick → Ship. The order ships as soon as everything is picked. |
| None | Ship straight away. |
Stock only leaves your location when the order ships. The order then shows as Closed.
Open the order and click Pick Order.
Click a line, then choose the stock to take from Available Stock on the right. You'll see the bin, batch, expiry and serial number for each. Enter the Pick qty and click Add to Order.
Click Auto Pick to let InventaHQ choose the stock for you. Then click Confirm Pick.
If you only pick part of the order, it stays in Picking. Click Continue Picking to finish it later.
When everything is picked, click Pack Order.
Click Add Carton to split items across cartons. Fill in the carrier, shipping method, service and tracking number. Click Confirm Pack. The order is now Packed.
To change what was picked, click Back to Pick. Any carton changes you haven't saved are lost.
Click Ship Order, then Yes, ship order. The stock leaves the ship-from location and the order is Closed.
Shipping needs the Close order permission.
Good to know: you can't ship without enough stock at the ship-from location. The message lists which products are short. If picking has started, every line must be fully picked first.
Work on several orders at once
On the Sales list, tick the orders. Then choose from the bar that appears:
- Start Picking — loads every selected Open order on one pick screen.
- Start Packing — loads every selected Picked order.
- Ship Order — ships every selected Packed order.
Orders that aren't at the right stage are skipped.
