Sales
Sales settings: numbering, defaults and fulfilment
Every option in Settings → Sales and what it changes.
Go to Settings → Sales. You need the Manage sales settings permission.
Fulfilment Mode
How many steps an order goes through before it ships:
| Option | What it means |
|---|---|
| Full — Pick → Pack → Close | Pick, pack, then ship. Best for most businesses. |
| Pick Only — Pick → Close | No packing. Confirming the pick ships the order. |
| None — Close Directly | Ship at any stage. Stock is chosen for you. |
Picking
- Auto Picking — stock is chosen for you when someone clicks Pick Order.
- Auto-Picking Rule — FIFO (oldest first), LIFO (newest first) or FEFO (soonest expiry first).
- Allow Over Picking — lets people pick more than was ordered.
Sales Order Numbering
Set a Prefix and Suffix (up to 4 characters each), the Start Number and Number Length (3 to 6 digits). Preview shows the next number, such as SO-0001.
Sales Order Defaults
The Default Payment Terms and Default Ship From location for new orders.
Quotes
Turn on Enable quotes to add a Save Quote button to new orders.
Shipping Defaults
The Default Carrier and Default Shipping Method used when packing.
Sales Documents
What appears on the pick list, packing list and invoice. See Print pick lists, packing lists and invoices.
