Send a quote and convert it to an order
Save an order as a quote for the customer to approve, then turn it into a sales order.
An administrator goes to Settings → Sales and turns on Enable quotes. A Save Quote button then shows on new sales orders.
Create the order as usual, then click Save Quote. See Create a sales order.
Click Actions → Print → Quote to print it or save it as a PDF. Or click Actions → Email to send it. See Email an order.
Open the quote and click Convert to Sales, then confirm. It becomes an Open sales order.
Good to know: quotes don't set stock aside. Converting a quote needs the Edit orders permission.
