Create a purchase order
Order stock from a supplier, including freight and other costs, and track it until it arrives.
Go to Purchases and click New Purchase Order. The order number is given when you save.
Search for the supplier and select them. Under Deliver To, choose where the stock will arrive. Add the Supplier Order # if they gave you one.
Set the Order Date and Expected Delivery date. Check the Payment Terms. Add any instructions under Comments / Notes.
Under Line Items, search by SKU or name and add each product. Enter the quantity and check the Cost Price. Add a Disc % if the supplier gives one.
To order a kit's items, add the kit. See Add a kit to an order.
Use Additional Costs for freight, duty or other charges. They're shared across the lines so each product shows its landed cost. See Freight, duty and landed costs.
Use Order Discount to take money off the whole order.
Button What it does Save Draft Saves it to finish later. Drafts don't count as stock on order. Create Purchase Order Makes it Open. The quantities show as On Order until they arrive. Click Actions → Email to send it, or Actions → Print to print it or save a PDF. See Email an order.
